2019 May – Mayor reports Claudia Brown to retire. Reports from EMS, Police, Chamber, Audubon and Serving our Seniors. KI Brewer announces 4th annual bioblitz. KI Historical Assoc. showcases new gift shop, Charles Herndon steps down from Board and Cindy Herndon is elected President. New floor completed in church. Herndon’s host Summer Solstice Soiree. KI’s Got Talent is new event. Lake Erie Islands International Consortium meets at Kelleys Island. OSU Stone Lab comes to the KI field station. The school receives a $3000 grant from Erie County Community Foundation for microscopes. Cindra Mielke and Jeni Hammond do another benefit swim (25 years now).

2019 June – Reports from the KI Police Dept, Historical Assoc, EMS, Chamber, and Parsonage Resale Shop. The Mayor writes about the Referendum of the Fiscal Officer ordinance. KI Audubon reports that since 1996: 15, 011 individuals and 118 species were banded. KI Landowners host welcome back pot luck, Jack Wade drives to Texas, and Delores Cole passes away.

2019 November/December – KI Running Club kids finish season. The Mayor remembers Jay Johnson and the Dairy Delight. Make-A-Wish Swim and Golf Cart poker run generated second largest donation to MAW (every year). KILA recaps 2019 activities. People names: Wally Christy, Tom Behlen, Laura Jean Pohorence, Elyria High School marching band, Vicky Finnegan, Caroline Jorski, Frank Dodson, Drew Algase, Elliott Algase, Leslie Algase, Tim Arnold. KILA has 243 active members. Jessica Wolf and Steen Imholt wedding in October. Harvest was cancelled but decorations still went up. Park Board accomplishments this year: two preserve signs, restriped tennis court, upgraded the electric service at the pavilion from 40 to 200 amp. Serving our Seniors sends out survey.
